Consent to personal data processing

The personal data operator (hereinafter — the Operator) is Individual entrepreneur Shepitko Mariia Mikhailovna, the owner of the website batmeleh.com.

Consent is given freely, by your own will and in your own interest (part 1, article 9 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”). Ticking the box “I consent to the processing of my personal data” and submitting the form means that you have read this consent and accepted its terms.

The box is not pre-ticked. Until you tick it the form is not submitted and no data reaches the Operator.

Consent may be given by a person aged eighteen or over. For a minor, consent is given by their legal representative.

The fact of consent is recorded in the site log: date and time, user identifier (if registered), IP address and the address of the page the box was ticked on. This record is the proof that consent was given; it is kept for as long as the consent is valid and for three years after it is withdrawn.

The Operator processes only the data you provide yourself, plus the technical details without which the site cannot work:

• surname, first name and patronymic — or the name you ask us to use;
• date of birth;
• country and city;
• email address;
• telephone number — if you enter one;
• Telegram username — if you choose that way of receiving an answer;
• profile picture, if uploaded;
• login and password (the password is stored only as an irreversible hash);
• the content of questions to the rabbi, forum posts, comments and enquiries;
• usage details: date and time of visits, IP address, browser and device type, addresses of the pages viewed, session identifier.

The Operator does not deliberately collect special categories of personal data (article 10 of 152-FZ) or biometric personal data (article 11 of 152-FZ). If you volunteer such details in the free text of a question or a message, they are processed only to the extent needed to answer you and are never published without separate consent.

• registration, keeping your account, signing in and restoring access;
• receiving and considering questions to the rabbi and sending answers the way you chose — by email or in Telegram;
• taking part in the forum: publishing posts and comments under the name or pen name you chose;
• booking meetings, classes and events;
• sending letters that answer your enquiry, and newsletters — the latter only if you separately tick “Subscribe to the newsletter”, and you may unsubscribe at any time;
• keeping the site working and secure: protecting forms from automated submissions, detecting and stopping abuse, investigating technical faults;
• complying with obligations placed on the Operator by the law of the Russian Federation.

The Operator makes no decisions producing legal effects concerning you solely on the basis of automated processing (article 16 of 152-FZ). Data is not used for third-party advertising and is not passed to advertising networks.

Consent is given for the following actions: collection, recording, systematisation, accumulation, storage, updating and amendment, retrieval, use, transfer (provision, access) within the scope set out in section 6, depersonalisation, blocking, deletion and destruction of personal data.

Processing is mixed: both with and without the use of automation.

The Operator makes public only the data you send for publication: forum posts, comments and — where you tick “I allow my question to be published” — the text of the question and the author’s name. All other data, including email address, telephone number and date of birth, is never disclosed publicly.

• the hosting provider whose facilities host the site (JSC IOT, Moscow, Skolkovo Innovation Centre (Russia)) — to the extent required to run the site;
• the email provider through which letters are sent — the recipient’s address and the text of the letter;
• Telegram — your username and the text of the answer, if you chose that channel;
• state authorities — in response to requests made in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation.

No other third party receives the data; it is never sold or provided for purposes other than those in section 4.

The databases used to collect, record, systematise, accumulate, store, update and retrieve the personal data of citizens of the Russian Federation are located in the Russian Federation (part 5, article 18 of 152-FZ).

The Operator carries out no cross-border transfer of personal data. The one exception is an answer sent in Telegram: by choosing that channel you expressly instruct the Operator to pass your username and the text of the answer to the messenger’s infrastructure, part of which is outside the Russian Federation. If that is not acceptable, choose to receive the answer by email.

The consent is valid from the day the box is ticked until the day you withdraw it.

A withdrawal may be written in free form and sent to batmelekh@yandex.com or by post to 117545, Russia, Moscow, Podolskikh Kursantov street 6, building 3, flat 83. Deleting your account yourself in the personal area also counts as a withdrawal.

The Operator stops processing and destroys the data within thirty days of receiving the withdrawal (part 5, article 21 of 152-FZ). Processing may continue without consent only in the cases directly listed in part 2 of article 9 and part 2 of article 11 of 152-FZ — for instance where the data is needed to fulfil a duty imposed by law or to defend the Operator’s rights in court.

Forum posts and comments published before the withdrawal are depersonalised: the author’s name is replaced with a deleted-account label. Full deletion of the texts is done on a separate request sent the same way.

As a data subject you have the right to:

• be told how your data is processed: confirmation of the fact of processing, its legal grounds and purposes, the methods used, the periods involved, the list of data processed and its source (article 14 of 152-FZ);
• demand that your data be corrected, blocked or destroyed if it is incomplete, out of date, inaccurate, unlawfully obtained or not necessary for the stated purpose;
• withdraw your consent at any moment;
• object to receiving newsletters and unsubscribe from them;
• appeal against the Operator’s acts or omissions to Roskomnadzor or in court.

By ticking the consent box and submitting the form you confirm that:

• you have read and understood this consent;
• the data you entered is accurate and was provided by you personally;
• you have been informed of the rights granted by the Federal Law “On Personal Data”;
• the consent is given freely, by your own will and in your own interest.

The current version of this consent is always published at batmeleh.com/en/legal/consent/. This version was approved on 5 September 2026. The Operator announces changes by publishing a new version on this page; continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version.
